Sinovial® HL is a HYBRID HYALURONIC ACID: it contains hybrid cooperative complexes of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) held together by hydrogen bonds.
Sinovial® HL is produced using NAHYCO® technology, a patented heat treatment that enables the combination of low and high molecular weight HA without using chemical reagents. It therefore reproduces the characteristics and properties of endogenous synovial fluid.
Sinovial® HL is indicated in cases of pain or reduced mobility due to degenerative diseases (arthrosis), post-traumatic diseases and tendinopathy associated with joint disability.
Sinovial® HL was developed by IBSA as a result of NAHYCO® Hybrid Technology, which is based on an innovative, patented thermal process that avoids the use of chemical reagents and leads to the formation of a series of weak hydrogen bonds between long (high molecular weight HA) and short (low molecular weight HA) chains of hyaluronic acid, forming stabilised hybrid complexes with optimal rheological characteristics and unique viscoelastic properties.
NAHYCO® Hybrid Technology allows to deliver high doses of hyaluronic acid (HA)
while maintaining low viscosity. High concentrations of HA can thus be achieved without compromising the ease of extrusion.
In addition to this, the simultaneous presence of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid means that Sinovial® HL has very similar characteristics to endogenous synovial fluid, mimicking its rheological properties.
